Busy

Updated: Mar 30

Why are we so busy, like all the time? No matter how much you get done in a day, there's always a thousand more things to do. You try to down size, make lists of things that need to get done, appointments, time for people, etc...yet no matter what you do there's always more. I could accomplish a hundred things in one day, see friends, go to an appointment, and still have so much more to do. House projects, work, this and that... just always something. How is it that we are just always so busy, and still try to make time for ourselves? Even when you make time for yourself, you're thinking about everything you need to do; which makes it more difficult to actually relax and focus on yourself. Life has just become this chaotic mess to where you work hard, but still dont truly get the time to enjoy what you've worked so hard for.

There's a couple I actually idolize... I met them several years ago and they have become very important people in my life, yet i dont have the time to even show them that as much as I would like to. This couple has been married now for 28 years, and have three beautiful now grown children. But for years I watched them both work full time, one of them who runs a business.. Three kids, different sports, different games and events to attend, school functions, 5 meals to make, a home to run, two amazing dogs, a big family to spend time with, and still able to make time for each other. They are definitely the super hero parents that I hope to be one day. But, I always questioned how they did it... I'm hoping they see this and actually give me their secret to life.

At the end of the day, we make time for what's important to us.. and that is something I have always strived to do. But, I still question how it is that life is just always so busy.
